Daily Schedule
Rabbi Eli Joseph Mansour is a Sephardic Orthodox rabbi of
Syrian Jewish descent. He is an eminent Torah scholar,
internationally
renowned and a highly sought after speaker. Currently, he leads
a congregation in Brooklyn NY of Sephardic and Middle Eastern
Jews of many backgrounds (Syrian, Lebanese, Egyptian, Iraqi,
Moroccan, Israeli, Iranian, Turkish, Yemenite, Uzbekistani,
Libyan, Algerian, Tunisian).
Rabbi Eliyahu Mansour attended community yeshivot graduating
Magen David Yeshivah Elementary and Shaare Torah High School.
He then went to Israel where he studied at Mercaz HaTorah. Upon
returning home he continued to learn in various places including
Ateret Torah in Brooklyn, and the Bet Midrash Govoha in Lakewood,
NJ. He then joined the prestigious Keter Sion Kollel. He received
semichah in 1998 by Rabbi Max Maslaton. He continues to advance his learning on a daily and weekly basis and occasionally at the
Keter Sion Kollel. The Rabbi and
his wife currently have (b'li ayin ha'ra) several children.
Rabbi Mansour currently serves as Rabbi to the congregation
known as Bet Yaakob. The Congregation is currently, temporarily,
housed in the Ahaba ve Ahva Synagogue at the corner of Avenue
R & Ocean Parkway in Brooklyn. Plans are in the works to erect
a permanent facility with Rabbi Mansour as Rosh Bet Kennesset
and spiritual leader. The Rabbi gives daily classes in mishnah,
gemara, halacha, torah, neviim, musar and a variety of subjects
relevant to the Sephardic and Jewish Orthodox community, some
of which are available online. The congregation has previously resided at the Ahi Ezer Torah Center and Har Halebanon Lebanese Shul.

Program for Boys Ages 6-14 at Cong Bet Yaakob
We are pleased to announce the
addition of brothers Rabbi Isaac Sananes, and Rabbi Josh Sananes, as leaders of
our new boys youth minyan program.
Here’s the program…
Shabbat Mornings
• Minyan (Hashem Melech) starts at
8:30 AM, together with FATHERS
• Shaharit & Torah Reading to end
at about 10:00 AM, at which time the FATHERS can go to Rabbi Mansour’s main
minyan for Musaf, Kiddush, and the Derasha
• Kiddush and Hot Food Served at
10:00 AM to the youth & fathers if they want to stay. This food is only
for those kids who partake in the minyan.
• Musaf at about 10:20 AM
• After Musaf, at about 10:35 AM,
there will be 2 classes
One for Ages 6-10 in
the basement
One for Ages 11-14 in
the Midrash
• The 2 classes will combine for
the raffle drawing at about 11:40 AM
• Program Ends at 11:55 AM at the
same time Rabbi Mansour’s class finishes
Shabbat Afternoon
To begin, next Shabbat, March
6th
• Minha always at the same time as
the Men’s main minyan.
• Minha will be followed by Seudat
Shelishit
• After Seudat Shelishit, there
will be 2 classes (during the time Rabbi Mansour gives his derasha.)
One for Ages 6-10
One for Ages 11-14
• Arbit at the same time when Rabbi
Mansour begins Arbit in the main minyan
Weekdays
• The Rabbis will offer Torah
classes, pizmonim classes, and Taamim classes. The schedule will be
customized to the boys who attend the minyan. There is no charge to the
boys for these classes. Minimum 2 persons for a class.
Prize Incentive and Program (Subject
to modification)
Based on minimum of 20 boys in
attendance. We will cancel the prizes if we don’t get 20 boys, so make
sure to bring your boys!
Tickets will be given out by David
Dagmy every Shabbat morning according to the following program:
a) 1 Yellow
ticket for arriving before 9:00 AM
b) 2 tickets for
brining a father (fathers only need to stay until end of Shaharit, thereby
allowing them to join the main minyan for Musaf and the Rabbi’s class)
c) Various amount
of tickets for following along in the tefilah, the Parasha reading, and for
maintaining discipline
d) 2 tickets for
being Hazzan
e) 4 tickets for reading minimum
10 pesukim
f) 8 tickets for
reading an entire aliyah
g) 2 tickets for
staying for the entire class
h) David can also take tickets
away if necessary. For example, he can take tickets away if the boys roam the
building.
• On the first 3 Shabbat mornings,
David will draw from the yellow tickets for a single special prize (for those
who got to shul before 9:00 AM), and then David will draw 15 ticket numbers for
the big raffle, and in order of their winning ticket, the boy can choose from
the available prizes. After the first 3 Shabbats, David will select 5 winners.
First
week’s prizes include;

• On the first 2 Shabbat night
programs, David will draw 5 ticket numbers for raffle, and in order of their
winning ticket, the boy can choose from the available prizes. After the first 2
Shabbats, David will select 3 winners.
• In addition to the weekly
drawing, starting with the 2nd Shabbat
(March 6th), after calling the winning numbers for that Shabbat, the
boys will then deposit their tickets into an envelope with their name on it.
These envelopes will be kept until the 1st Shabbat
in June when 10 grand prizes will be drawn. The more tickets you
accumulate, the better chance at winning the grand prize:

• David will post and update a
chart weekly to show the ticket totals for each boy.
