Congregation Bet Yaakob
Congregation Bet Yaakob is a Jewish Orthodox Sephardic synagogue in Brooklyn New York established in 2005 following the customs and traditions of Syria (Halab; Aleppo, Syria). Our congregation is comprised of congregants of Sephardic and Middle Eastern descent. We are currently, temporarily, housed in the former Ahaba ve Ahva Synagogue. Rabbi Mansour currently serves as the head Rabbi to the congregation and gives daily classes in gemara, halacha, torah, musar and a variety of subjects relevant to the community, many of which are available online. The congregation has previously resided at the Ahi Ezer Torah Center and Har Halebanon Synagogue. Bet Yaakob is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
The Congregation shall B”H move to its new home in September 2014, and shall be called The Edmond J Safra Synagogue.
